Job Description
As a Demand Planning Specialist at Talabat, you will be responsible for developing and implementing demand planning strategies to ensure efficient product availability. You will work closely with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce operational costs. Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing historical sales data and seasonal trends to forecast future demand.
- Preparing periodic reports on inventory performance and providing recommendations for efficiency improvements.
- Collaborating with suppliers to ensure smooth product flow.
- Utilizing data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or SAP) to create accurate forecasting models.
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy and inventory turnover.
- Supporting operations teams in resolving stock-out or overstock issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in demand planning or inventory management.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to work under pressure and make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of the Kuwaiti market and local consumer behavior is a plus.
