Job Description and Key Responsibilities

• Providing specialized consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary diseases and disorders.
• Performing a range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy.

• Developing comprehensive treatment plans and managing long-term patient follow-up.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: An MBBS degree or equivalent, followed by a recognized Doctorate or Fellowship specialization in Gastroenterology.
• Licensing: Must possess a valid medical license to practice from the Omani Ministry of Health, or be eligible to obtain one. Prior Omani licensing or work experience in Oman is highly preferred.
• Experience: Proven post-specialization experience of at least 3 to 5 years as a Specialist Gastroenterologist. Experience in a large hospital or specialized center setting is a significant advantage.
