Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The appointed Internal Medicine Specialist will be entrusted with a range of core duties and responsibilities, including:
- Diagnosis & Treatment: Diagnosing and treating a wide spectrum of non-surgical internal diseases affecting the internal organs of adult patients, with a focus on providing comprehensive and continuous care.
- Case Management: Managing complex and chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal diseases, and more.
- Clinical Examination: Performing thorough clinical examinations and ordering appropriate laboratory tests and imaging studies to confirm diagnoses.
- Treatment Planning: Developing individualized treatment plans for patients, monitoring their progress, and modifying therapeutic plans as necessary.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with specialists from other medical fields (e.g., surgery, neurology) as well as nursing staff and pharmacists to deliver multidisciplinary care.

Requirements & Qualifications
To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery, followed by a specialization degree (Board Certification) in Internal Medicine from a recognized university.
- Licensing: The applicant must possess a valid medical practice license from the United Arab Emirates (e.g., from the Dubai Health Authority, Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, or Ministry of Health and Prevention). Candidates holding already active UAE licenses will be preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of post-specialization practical experience in general internal medicine or one of its sub-specialties.
- Skills: Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure. Exceptional communication and patient relationship management skills. Proficiency in English is essential, and knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
