Job Overview
The Technology Infrastructure Specialist will be appointed within the Authority's ICT department. The successful candidate will be the primary responsible for ensuring the operation, maintenance, and development of the core hardware and software components that support the institution's vital business and financial operations. Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Infrastructure Management & Maintenance: Oversee the Authority's servers, storage systems, network hardware, and data centers.
- Ensuring Availability & Continuity: Proactively monitor system performance to ensure at least 99.9% availability, and implement business continuity and disaster recovery (DR/BCP) plans.
- Cybersecurity: Contribute to the implementation and development of information security policies, ensure systems are updated with the latest security patches, and assist in monitoring security threats.
- Technical Project Support: Participate in technology upgrade and expansion projects, providing technical expertise in procurement and implementation processes.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure failures quickly and effectively to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Prepare and update technical documentation for infrastructure systems and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Educational Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Networking, or a similar technical discipline.
- Globally recognized professional certifications are a significant advantage (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, MCSA/MCSE, VMware, ITIL, security certifications like Security+).
Professional Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in managing and operating technology infrastructure within large organizations or financial institutions.
- Proven experience in managing Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V environments, and storage systems from vendors like Dell EMC or NetApp.
- In-depth knowledge of networking technologies (Routing, Switching, Firewalls) and their protocols.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and their application to infrastructure.
