Applicants of Canada-China Scholars' Exchange Program must be from Canada.
Canadian students (undergraduate and graduate levels), Canadian faculty members or research staff at a post-secondary institution can apply.
Canadian mid-career professionals with a Master’s or Ph.D. degree and possess policy development, managerial, or decision-making responsibilities can apply for the Canada-China Scholars' Exchange Program.
The applicants must be able to achieve the required level of written and spoken Chinese by the host institution in China.
Candidates applying for Canada-China Scholars' Exchange Program must be enrolled in a Chinese institution and not be seeking a degree in China.
If the applicant is an employee of the Government of Canada, he/she is not eligible for the travel benefit funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Development (DFATD).
