Applicants must have completed a program at the University for a BC with a major in Journalism or for a GradDipJour.
The prize is awarded by the University Council on the recommendation of the Head of Journalism.
In making the recommendation, the Head of Journalism considers academic achievement in core Journalism courses in the year of the award by students in the final year of a program for: BC with a major in Journalism; or GradDipJour.
