Must be a foreign national (non-Indian citizen)
Age 18-35 years (Bachelor's/Master's) | 18-40 years, extendable to 45 (PhD)
Bachelor's applicants: minimum 60% in secondary school leaving certificate
Master's applicants: relevant bachelor's degree
PhD applicants: relevant master's degree + detailed research synopsis
Passport valid for at least 2 years from July 1, 2026
English language proficiency (500-word essay required instead of IELTS/TOEFL)
Must not currently be enrolled at any Indian university
Application must be submitted through the Indian Mission in your country

Certified copy of syllabus from last qualifying examination
500-word essay in English (mandatory)

IELTS/TOEFL certificate (optional but recommended)
