Founded in 1946 in the Turkish capital Ankara, Ankara University was the first higher education institution to be found in the Turkish Republic. A public institution, Ankara University now has a large enrollment (almost 70,000 students) in its 17 faculties. It’s currently ranked within the top 450 universities in the world for medicine and is placed 701+ in the QS World University Rankings.
