Construction Engineer - Pipeline (Kuwait)

A leading and confidential company in Kuwait, specializing in the vital energy or infrastructure sector, is seeking to hire a Construction Engineer specialized in Pipelines to work in the Al Ahmadi area. Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the construction team, overseeing the execution phases of critical pipeline projects. The primary responsibilities expected for this role include:

• Field Supervision: Directly supervise all pipeline construction and installation activities at the project site in Al Ahmadi, ensuring strict adherence to the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Planning and Coordination: Participate in project schedule planning and coordinate work between contractors, suppliers, and the technical team to ensure efficient workflow.
• Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure all execution work is performed according to approved technical specifications, designs, local Kuwaiti regulations, and international standards (e.g., ASME, API). This includes inspection of materials, welding, coating, and insulation.
• Documentation Management: Prepare and organize daily progress reports, inspection records, and handover documents.
• Problem-Solving: Identify technical or operational challenges that may arise during the construction phase and propose practical, effective solutions in collaboration with the design team.
• Safety First: Enforce strict compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols on the work site and promote a culture of safety among all personnel.

Qualifications and Core Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or any directly related engineering discipline relevant to pipeline projects.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in pipeline construction and installation, preferably within oil & gas, energy, or water sector projects in the Gulf region.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of pipeline construction phases, including excavation, lowering-in, installation, welding, hydrostatic testing, coating, and insulation.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage work teams and contractors in a complex construction site environment.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English, with the ability to prepare clear technical reports.
• Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the applicable construction and safety codes and regulations in the State of Kuwait is a significant advantage.
