Construction Piping Engineer - Kuwait

Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Piping Engineer will be stationed at the project site and will be responsible for the technical and execution aspects of piping systems. The core responsibilities expected for this role include:

• Field supervision of piping installation activities in strict accordance with approved technical specifications and engineering drawings.
• Monitoring the quality of materials used (pipes, fittings, valves, insulation) and ensuring compliance with standard specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinating with Design Engineers and Process Engineers to resolve any clashes or issues arising during the construction phase.
• Supervising work crews and subcontractors to ensure work is executed within the defined schedule and to the highest occupational safety standards.
• Preparing daily and weekly progress reports, documenting any deviations from the plan.
• Participating in Pressure Testing and Leak Testing of piping systems and ensuring their readiness for commissioning.
• Strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and policies on-site to prevent accidents.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in piping engineering within major industrial construction projects, such as oil & gas, power plants, or petrochemical facilities.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of international piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, ANSI). Strong knowledge of piping materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys) and installation/welding methods.
• Personal Skills: Leadership ability, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work within a multinational team. Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively.
• Other: Preference will be given to candidates with prior work experience on projects within Kuwait or the wider Gulf region.
