Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The successful consultant will hold a pivotal role within the paediatric cardiology team, responsible for providing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurate Diagnosis: Performing and interpreting specialized diagnostic tests for congenital and acquired heart diseases in children, such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and electrocardiograms (ECGs).
  • Clinical Case Management: Developing comprehensive treatment plans and managing patient cases from initial diagnosis through long-term follow-up, including complex cases requiring multi-disciplinary intervention.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To be eligible for this critical career opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: Possession of an MBBS or equivalent medical degree, followed by a recognized specialization (Board Certification) in Paediatrics, and subsequently a internationally-recognised fellowship in Paediatric Cardiology.
  • Licensing: The applicant must hold a valid medical license from their country of origin. Possession of or eligibility for the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) license is a significant advantage, and the institution may provide support for the accreditation process.
