Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for a range of vital technical tasks to ensure the optimal operation of air conditioning and refrigeration systems at assigned work sites. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing periodic preventive maintenance on central chiller plants, split-unit systems, and ventilation systems (AHUs, FCUs).
• Diagnosing and efficiently repairing faults and technical issues within the electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems.
• Inspecting and testing system components such as compressors, condensers, evaporator coils, sensors, and thermostats.
• Carrying out installation work and minor modifications to systems as per project requirements and under the supervision of a qualified engineer.
• Strictly adhering to all applicable Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols on-site to ensure a safe working environment for all.
• Preparing daily work reports detailing tasks completed, issues resolved, and problems requiring further attention.
• Collaborating with the work team and other technicians to ensure tasks are completed within the specified schedule.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• A diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or equivalent intensive practical experience.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems in an industrial, commercial, or residential setting.
• Strong practical knowledge of the electrical and mechanical principles of refrigeration systems.
• The ability to read system schematics and basic technical drawings.
• Proactive and effective fault-diagnosis and problem-solving skills.
• Physical fitness to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, lifting, and working in potentially confined or elevated spaces.
• Good knowledge of workplace safety protocols.
• Preference will be given to candidates holding recognized professional certifications in the refrigeration and air conditioning field.
• Proficiency in English for basic workplace communication is a distinct advantage.
