Engineer III - Quality Assurance/Quality Control (Transmission & Distribution)

NCC T&D is seeking a highly qualified Engineer III for Quality Assurance and Quality Control to join its vital projects within the electrical transmission and distribution sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the precise application of quality and safety standards across all phases of T&D projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with international standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and specific project requirements.
• Conducting periodic inspections and audits of materials, equipment, and installation works at construction sites and substations.
• Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining quality documentation including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Inspection Reports.
• Coordinating with contractor engineers, suppliers, and work teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications and approved regulations.
• Investigating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), establishing corrective and preventive actions, and following up on their implementation until closure.
• Participating in design reviews, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Ensuring all work is performed according to the highest standards of safety, quality, and reliability.
• Preparing periodic reports on quality performance and statistics for project management.

Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Professional Certifications: Professional certifications in Quality (e.g., CQE, CQA, or equivalent) are highly preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 7 to 10 years of practical experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, with a strong focus on electrical transmission and distribution projects (overhead transmission lines, underground cables, substations, distribution systems).
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relevant international and local standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, SASO, Saudi specifications).
• Skills: Excellent analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics. Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English. Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Personal Attributes: The successful candidate must be precise, disciplined, reliable, a team leader, and capable of making sound decisions.

Work Environment & Location

This role is based in a stimulating work environment within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, focusing on major projects that support the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in developing energy infrastructure. The job may require travel to various project sites.
