Medical Gas Technician Job in Dubai

MGPS Service UAE is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Gas Technician to join their team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The successful technician will be integrated into the specialized engineering maintenance team serving healthcare facilities. Core responsibilities include:

• Routine and Emergency Maintenance: Performing preventive maintenance schedules and urgent repairs on medical gas pipeline systems (such as Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide, Medical Air, and Vacuum systems).
• Installation and Testing: Assisting in the installation of pipelines, valves, outlets, and alarm panels for medical gases in compliance with the highest international standards (e.g., NFPA 99, HTM 02-01).
• Inspection and Quality Assurance: Conducting leak tests, checking gas purity, and ensuring pressures and delivery points meet required specifications for patient and staff safety.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance work, inspections, and repairs performed, and preparing technical reports.
• Compliance Adherence: Ensuring full compliance with all applicable local and international health, safety, and medical sector regulations within the UAE.
• Team Collaboration: Working closely with engineers, other technicians, and hospital facility management to deliver high-quality technical service.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be a suitable candidate for this crucial technical role, you should possess the following:

• Educational Background: A diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Specialized certifications in medical gas systems are highly preferred.
• Work Experience: Proven hands-on experience of at least 2-3 years in maintaining or installing medical gas systems within hospitals or healthcare facilities. Experience in the UAE or GCC market is a significant advantage.
• Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of medical gas system components (piping, valves, outlets, monitoring equipment).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics and P&ID drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Personal Skills: High attention to detail, reliability, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and good communication skills.
• Other Requirements: Proficiency in English for reading and writing (Arabic language skills are an advantage). The candidate must be physically fit for tasks that may involve prolonged standing or working in confined spaces.
