Job Overview

The successful candidate will be the primary leader responsible for driving and developing the company's sales and marketing activities in the FMCG domain. The role focuses on crafting executable strategies, leading sales and marketing teams towards target achievement, and ensuring market share and profitability. You will work closely with senior management to align departmental goals with the company's overall vision.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for the FMCG sector to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor sales and marketing teams to enhance performance and achieve peak productivity standards.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Establish sales and marketing plans and budgets, monitoring performance against set benchmarks.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, partners, and distributors.
  • Oversee new product development, brand launches, and promotional marketing activities.
  • Ensure effective communication between sales/marketing departments and other internal functions such as production, finance, and logistics.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) will be a strong advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in sales and/or marketing, with a strong focus on the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in a leadership role (Head or Manager level) supervising multiple teams.
  • Deep understanding of FMCG market dynamics in the Gulf region, with knowledge of the Qatari market being a significant plus.
  • A demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding sales and revenue targets.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards excellence.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Ability to develop innovative and cost-effective marketing strategies.
  • Good knowledge of digital marketing tools and analytics.
