Project Manager - GULF ASIA CONTRACTING WLL - Al Khor, Qatar

GULF ASIA CONTRACTING WLL is currently inviting applications for the position of Project Manager to join their operational team in Al Khor, Qatar. Job Overview

The appointed Project Manager will be responsible for leading and directing projects from the initial planning stages through to final delivery. The Project Manager bears full responsibility for ensuring projects are completed on time, within the allocated budget, and in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety as practiced in the State of Qatar and the contracting sector at large.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead the project team and supervise all phases of execution.
• Develop detailed project plans encompassing schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with all technical specifications, Qatari government regulations, and safety standards.
• Manage effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, consultants, and senior management.
• Monitor the project's financial progress and take corrective actions to address any budget deviations.
• Identify potential risks and prepare mitigation plans.
• Prepare periodic project status reports and present them to management.
• Ensure quality objectives are met and maintain the company's reputation for delivering distinguished work.

Qualifications and Requirements

The company seeks candidates with the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, Mechanical) or a related project management field. A Master's degree or professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) are a strong advantage.
• A minimum of 7 years of practical experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish.
• Previous experience working within the contracting market in Qatar or the GCC region, with deep knowledge of local regulations and procedures.
• Strong leadership skills and excellent ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving goals.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English. Knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
• High proficiency in using project management software and office suites (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, MS Office).
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards on construction sites.
