Job Overview

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end leadership of the lifecycle for strategic projects related to Data and AI. This role is pivotal in translating business objectives into actionable execution plans, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The incumbent will act as the bridge between complex technical requirements and the business goals of clients or internal departments.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Project Leadership & Planning: Develop detailed project plans encompassing scope, timeline, budget, resources, risks, and measurement methodologies.
• Team Management: Lead and direct cross-functional teams comprising data engineers, data scientists, AI/ML developers, and business stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, to provide regular reporting, manage expectations, and ensure strategic alignment.
• Quality & Delivery Assurance: Oversee all project phases from initiation to closure, ensuring outputs meet agreed specifications and high-quality standards.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and resolve impediments to workflow.
• Adherence to Best Practices: Apply Agile or traditional (Waterfall) project management methodologies as project-appropriate and foster continuous process improvement.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

• Academic Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or Data-specific project management credentials) is a significant advantage.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical project management, with a strong and consistent focus on Data and AI/Machine Learning projects. Experience must include managing full project lifecycles from conception to production.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of data management systems, data architecture, fundamentals of AI and machine learning, and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
