Job Description
The AWS System Administrator will play a pivotal role within the IT team, serving as the primary point of contact for managing, maintaining, and evolving the company's cloud infrastructure built on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. The focus will be on ensuring system availability, optimal performance, and robust security.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage, configure, and monitor core AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, and IAM.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity and data protection.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and take corrective actions to optimize efficiency and control costs.
- Secure the AWS environment by applying security best practices, managing security groups, reviewing logs, and ensuring compliance with standards.
- Automate deployment and configuration tasks using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or configuration management systems.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support to resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure.
- Work closely with Development and Operations (DevOps) teams to ensure smooth deployments and continuous integration.
- Create and maintain documentation for AWS-related processes and procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest AWS service offerings and technological developments.
Requirements and Qualifications

Technical Qualifications:
- Proven hands-on experience of at least 3 years in managing and operating AWS environments in a production setting.
- In-depth understanding of core AWS services and cloud networking architectures.
- Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and server administration.
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking, cloud security principles, and best practices.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Amazon CloudWatch, or third-party tools like Datadog or New Relic (a plus).
