Job Overview

The Environmental Supervisor will be primarily responsible for ensuring that all company operations and activities comply with applicable local and international environmental regulations and laws in the State of Qatar. Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Directly supervise the implementation and enforcement of the company's environmental management system policies and procedures.

• Develop and execute plans for regular site and facility inspections and monitoring.
• Collect and analyze environmental data, and prepare periodic performance reports for company management and relevant regulatory authorities.

• Educate and train employees and workers on proper environmental practices and related safety procedures.
• Coordinate with relevant government authorities (such as Qatar's Ministry of Municipality and Environment) regarding permits and environmental compliance.
• Assess the environmental impact of new projects or changes to existing operations.
• Supervise the safe handling of materials and waste to ensure environmentally sound disposal methods.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering (with an environmental focus), or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in environmental supervision, with preference given to experience in the industrial services, oil & gas, or construction sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of locally and internationally recognized Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems and procedures.
• Proficiency in using basic computer software and data analysis programs.
• Strong communication and reporting skills in both Arabic and English.
• Proven ability to lead teams and work under pressure to meet objectives.
• Knowledge of the Qatari work environment and legislative regulations is a significant advantage.
