Job Overview
The General Manager Finance will bear full responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of the Group's finance function. Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the overall business objectives of the Khimji Ramdas Group.
- Financial Performance Management: Oversee the preparation of periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual), ensuring accuracy and compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulations.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead the budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis processes, and provide recommendations for improving profitability and operational efficiency.
- Liquidity & Treasury Management: Ensure adequate cash flow for Group operations, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital structure.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and legal statutes in Oman, and develop effective financial risk management frameworks.
- Team Leadership: Guide and develop a professional, multidisciplinary finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous collaboration.
- M&A Support: Provide financial analysis and expertise for any organic growth or acquisition initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Academic Credentials: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA, CFA) are a significant advantage and often essential.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive, advanced financial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (such as Finance Director or General Manager Finance) within a large corporation or a diversified group.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), accounting principles, financial analysis, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP or Oracle.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate large teams, and to work effectively with the Board and Executive Management.
