Job Summary
The finance department is seeking ambitious candidates with suitable academic qualifications to begin their professional careers in accounting. The Junior Accountant will work under the supervision of senior accountants and will be responsible for executing daily accounting tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and post daily accounting entries in the financial system.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely reconciliation.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare invoices and match them with purchase orders and contracts.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic financial reports (monthly/quarterly).
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records.
- Cooperate with internal and external audit teams as needed.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university.
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in accounting (internship experience is a plus).
- Core Skills:
- Proficiency in computer applications, especially MS Office (Excel).
- Solid understanding of basic financial accounting principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in both Arabic and English (verbal and written).
- Ability to work in a team and handle work pressure.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Odoo, or SAP) is an advantage.
