Job Description

The appointed Legal Counsel will play a central role in providing comprehensive legal support and advisory services to the company. • Providing legal advice on a wide range of operational and commercial matters to ensure the company's compliance with relevant local and international laws and regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university. A Master of Laws (LLM) or other advanced legal qualification will be a strong added advantage.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 8 years of practical legal experience, with preference given to experience in the oil & gas, energy sector, or within large corporate environments with complex international operations.
• Legal Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of commercial law, contract law, and corporate law. Knowledge of Omani oil and gas laws is considered an exceptional advantage.
• Skills: Excellent analytical and advisory skills with the ability to interpret complex legislation and apply it to real-world business scenarios.
• Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English, with proficiency in drafting legal documents accurately.
• Personal Attributes: High integrity, ability to work under pressure, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
