Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The appointed Civil Engineer will be an essential part of the project team, contributing to the design, planning, execution, and supervision phases of a range of vital projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in the engineering design and structural analysis of infrastructure projects related to the energy sector (power plants, distribution networks, storage facilities) and general civil projects.
- Preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications, and feasibility studies.
- Field supervision of execution operations to ensure compliance with standard specifications and the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and engineers from other disciplines (electrical, mechanical, environmental).
- Managing project schedules and closely monitoring progress, identifying potential risks, and proposing solutions.
- Ensuring full compliance with Saudi building codes and relevant local and international regulations.
- Preparing periodic technical reports and managing project engineering documentation.
Qualifications and Essential Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in the field of civil engineering, with preference given to experience in major energy, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in engineering design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, or ETABS, and deep knowledge of international design standards (ACI, AISC).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, leadership skills, accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and face challenges.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in written and spoken English (proficiency in Arabic is a strong additional advantage).
