Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The appointed Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for a range of critical tasks to ensure project quality and efficiency. Core responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems on project sites.
• Reviewing engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
• Coordinating with other work teams, including civil, architectural, and electrical engineers, to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.
• Preparing technical reports, tender documentation, and bills of quantities.
• Supervising subcontractors and suppliers to ensure mechanical works are executed as per agreed specifications and timelines.
• Conducting inspections and quality control checks on materials, equipment, and installations.
• Contributing to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that may arise during construction or commissioning phases.
• Ensuring strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations in all activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in the contracting or construction industry, with proven experience on major projects.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing and drainage systems, fire protection systems, and other mechanical building services.
• Strong proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and relevant engineering applications.
• Comprehensive understanding of UAE building codes and standards (Dubai Municipality regulations, Abu Dhabi's "ADM" specifications, etc.).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Arabic and English (verbal and written).
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
• Holding a certified engineer qualification from the relevant UAE regulatory authority (e.g., Dubai Engineering Society) will be a significant advantage.

Work Location & Environment

Your primary base will be in the United Arab Emirates, working on projects across Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The role requires flexibility to move between project sites as needed.
