Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The selected engineer will occupy a pivotal role within the maintenance department, with core responsibilities focused on ensuring the optimal and reliable operation of aseptic packaging lines and machinery. The expected hands-on and supervisory tasks include:

• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Executing and planning routine preventive maintenance schedules for aseptic packaging equipment to minimize unexpected breakdowns and ensure production continuity. This also involves diagnosing complex mechanical faults and repairing them effectively.
• Troubleshooting: Analyzing operational failures in machines such as fillers, sealers, conveyors, and sterilization units, and working to find rapid and permanent engineering solutions.
• Spare Parts Management: Contributing to the identification and stocking of essential spare parts required for maintenance, assisting in inventory management to ensure availability when needed.
• Safety & Quality: Strict adherence to the industrial safety protocols in force at the plant, ensuring all maintenance activities are performed according to the stringent quality standards specific to aseptic products.
• Documentation & Reporting: Accurately documenting all maintenance and repair work, preparing reports on breakdown incidents, operating hours, and improvement recommendations.
• Teamwork: Close collaboration with production, engineering, and other maintenance technicians to achieve operational and productivity targets.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be eligible for this important technical role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
• Work Experience: Proven practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years in industrial equipment maintenance, with a strong preference for those with specific experience maintaining packaging machinery, particularly Aseptic Packaging Lines. Experience in the FMCG, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, or related industries is a significant advantage.
• Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical principles (gears, bearings, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, conveyors).
  • Ability to read and follow engineering schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using engineering logic.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems.
• Personal Skills: Ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, good communication skills (verbal and written), and the ability to work in a team and potentially in shifts if required.
