This position is open to experienced professionals in occupational health and safety who are looking to work in a dynamic and growing environment.

Job Description

As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest safety standards are applied at the workplace. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing occupational safety policies and procedures.
• Conducting regular inspections of work sites to identify potential hazards.
• Investigating accidents and injuries, analyzing root causes.
• Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.
• Training employees on safety practices and emergency procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with local and international health and safety regulations.
• Organizing evacuation drills and safety exercises periodically.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Certifications: Valid NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in occupational safety, preferably in the oil & gas or construction sector.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of safety management systems such as ISO 45001.
