Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The appointed consultant will play a pivotal role in implementing, supporting, and maintaining SAP solutions related to Dealer Business Management (DBM) and Vehicle Management System (VMS). Key responsibilities will include:
- Implementation & Configuration: Leading or actively participating in all phases of SAP DBM/VMS project implementation, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Support & Maintenance: Providing Level 2/3 technical support for existing DBM/VMS solutions, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring system stability and optimal performance.
- Integration: Ensuring seamless integration of DBM and VMS modules with other SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, FICO) and with external systems as required.
- Training & Documentation: Preparing technical and functional documentation and conducting training sessions for end-users and the internal support team.
- Continuous Improvement: Proposing and implementing enhancements to existing processes and systems to improve operational efficiency and meet evolving business needs.
- Collaboration: Working closely with stakeholders from various departments (Sales, Service, Parts, Finance) to understand their requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Qualifications and Core Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a similar technical discipline.
- Work Experience: Proven hands-on experience of at least 5 years in SAP consulting, with a strong focus on DBM (Dealer Business Management) and VMS (Vehicle Management System) modules.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of dealership business processes within the automotive or similar industries. Experience in configuring sales, service, parts, and vehicle management scenarios within the SAP environment.
- Technical Skills: Practical knowledge of SAP IDOC, RFC integrations, and basic SAP ABAP knowledge (for debugging and understanding purposes) will be a strong advantage.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic will be a distinct advantage.
