Job Description
As a Senior Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and executing complex environmental projects, ensuring compliance with local and international environmental standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for new projects.
- Developing and implementing Environmental Management Plans (EMP).
- Monitoring the environmental performance of ongoing projects and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with Omani environmental regulations and international standards such as ISO 14001.
- Preparing technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Providing technical support to other engineering teams.
- Managing environmental risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Supervising environmental teams and mentoring junior engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental engineering, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience in managing environmental assessment and compliance projects.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations in Oman and the Gulf region.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Arabic is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional certifications (e.g., EM, CEnv, or equivalent) are a strong advantage.
