Teyseer Services Company is actively recruiting for a critical leadership position: Site Manager / Unit Manager within the catering sector in Doha, Qatar. Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Site/Unit Manager will hold a pivotal role in leading and directing all operational activities at an assigned catering site or unit. The primary focus will be on ensuring operational excellence and complete client satisfaction. Core responsibilities include:

  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide direct leadership and supervision to the on-site team, including chefs, service staff, and support personnel. Be responsible for training, development, and motivation of staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Daily Operations Management: Oversee all day-to-day operational aspects of the catering unit. This encompasses meal planning, inventory and procurement management, quality control, and ensuring compliance with local and international food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Cost Control and Budgeting: Contribute to operational budgeting and meticulously monitor expenditures to ensure financial efficiency. The manager is accountable for achieving the unit's financial targets through control of food costs, labor costs, and overheads.
  • Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for the client (the entity receiving catering services). Ensure client requirements and expectations are understood, met, or exceeded, and address any concerns or complaints professionally and effectively.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure full compliance with all relevant Qatari regulations and laws regarding health, safety, and food. Implement and maintain quality management systems to guarantee consistency in service and products.
  • Development and Reporting: Propose and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and client satisfaction. Prepare detailed periodic reports on site performance for senior management.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Substantial and proven practical experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in catering management or hospitality services, with at least 3 years in a similar leadership role (Site Manager, Operations Manager, Large Restaurant Manager). Experience in institutional or mass catering environments (e.g., project sites, corporate facilities, educational institutions) is a significant advantage.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, with excellent communication and delegation skills.
  • Operational Skills: In-depth understanding of food and beverage cost control, inventory management, and food safety standards (such as HACCP).
  • Personal Attributes: A strong, decisive personality with problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure. Highly organized and proactive.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential. Knowledge of the Arabic language is a strong additional advantage in the Qatari job market.
