Job Overview

The Specialized Data Center Manager will occupy a pivotal role within the company, serving as the primary authority responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the entire data center facility. Key Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will be entrusted with a range of critical responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Leadership & Operations: Full oversight of the day-to-day operations of the data center, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon performance and reliability standards (Service Level Agreements - SLAs).
• Performance & Safety Management: Proactively monitoring the performance of systems and infrastructure (such as servers, storage, networking, cooling, and UPS power systems) to ensure maximum availability and safety.
• Planning & Development: Contributing to the strategic planning for data center expansion or upgrades, including managing budgets and procurement for related hardware and software.
• Security & Compliance: Implementing and enforcing stringent information security policies to protect data and systems. Ensuring the data center's compliance with local regulations and relevant international standards.
• Team Management: Leading and directing a team of specialized engineers and technicians, developing their skills, and ensuring the efficient execution of tasks.
• Crisis Management: Developing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR) plans and leading incident response teams to restore services as quickly as possible in the event of failures or outages.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be an ideal candidate for this leadership opportunity, you must possess the following qualifications:

Academic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline. A higher degree (Master’s) may be an added advantage.

Professional Experience:

• Proven practical experience of at least 7-10 years in data center management or operations, with a progression into leadership positions.
• Deep hands-on experience managing high-availability computing, storage, and networking infrastructure.
• Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity protocols and best practices specific to data centers.
• Experience in budgeting and managing technical projects.

Personal & Professional Skills:

• Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate teams and make decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in both Arabic and English.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ITIL, ISO 27001, Uptime Institute Tier Standards is a significant advantage.
• The ability to operate both strategically and executively.

Job Location

This position is based in Al Kuwait, Kuwait. It may require presence at the data center site or the company's headquarters.
