Job Description
The selected candidate will be hired on an outsourced contractual basis, working to support the activities and functions of the sustainability department or related projects. The focus will be on assisting in the implementation and tracking of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives adopted by the company or delivered to its clients.
Key Responsibilities and Expected Tasks:
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the sustainability team or project manager.
- Assist in collecting data and information related to sustainability performance.
- Participate in preparing periodic reports and presentation documents for sustainability initiatives.
- Assist in organizing workshops, events, and internal/external meetings related to sustainability.
- Coordinate simple tasks and follow up on timelines for sustainable projects.
- Conduct preliminary research on best practices and local/international sustainability regulations.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure the proper flow of sustainability-related information.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be a suitable candidate for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Engineering (with a sustainability interest), or a similar discipline.
- Having certified courses or training in sustainability or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) will be a strong added advantage.
Experience and Skills:
- Practical experience ranging from 0 to 3 years in a related field (administration, projects, sustainability, quality, or environment).
- Foundational understanding of sustainability principles and frameworks like ESG.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to work independently with guidance, as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing data and reports.
