Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Technical Manager will be tasked with leading and managing the technical team to achieve the company's operational objectives. The core responsibilities of this leadership role include:

• Leadership & Planning: Leading a team of engineers and technicians, and developing proactive operational and maintenance plans for all assets and systems under the company's purview.
• Ensuring Operational Efficiency: Directly supervising daily operations and maintenance activities, ensuring all equipment and systems operate at peak efficiency and reliability.
• Quality & Compliance Management: Establishing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with local and international safety standards, and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
• Budget & Project Management: Preparing and monitoring technical budgets, managing technical development and upgrade projects from the planning phase through to delivery.
• Performance Analysis & Troubleshooting: Monitoring and analyzing system performance, diagnosing complex faults, and proposing and implementing effective, sustainable technical solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for improvement in processes and technologies, proposing initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Communication & Coordination: Acting as the technical liaison between company management, clients, and vendors, and preparing regular technical reports for senior management.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related technical field) from an accredited university. A Master's degree in Engineering Management or Project Management is a strong advantage.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in operations and maintenance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (Manager or Head of Technical Department) within a major industrial or service environment.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of operational and maintenance systems, facility management systems, and reliability/availability principles. Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is essential.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage multi-disciplinary technical teams, manage performance, and develop talent.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex issues and make data-driven decisions.
• Professional Certifications: Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or certifications in reliability-centered maintenance are highly preferred.
• Language: Full professional proficiency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
