Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Workshop Supervisor will hold a pivotal role within the operational team, with direct responsibility for the daily activities within the workshop. The core responsibilities of this position include:

• Leadership and Supervision: Directing and monitoring the performance of a team of workshop technicians and personnel to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Operations Management: Planning, organizing, and controlling workflow within the workshop. This includes task scheduling, resource allocation, and monitoring progress on projects or maintenance work.
• Quality Assurance: Ensuring all work carried out in the workshop complies with specified quality standards and stringent occupational safety protocols. This involves conducting regular inspections.
• Maintenance and Safety: Overseeing the maintenance of workshop equipment and tools to ensure their safe and effective operation. The supervisor is also responsible for promoting a safety culture and enforcing all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols without exception.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A diploma or technical qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance) or equivalent. Extensive practical experience may be an acceptable substitute in some cases.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in an industrial workshop or maintenance facility environment, with proven supervisory experience of at least 3 years in a foreman or team lead role.
• Technical Skills: A strong understanding of workshop operational procedures, knowledge of HSE systems, and the ability to read technical schematics and drawings.
