Afyon Kocatepe University which was founded on July 10, 1992, started education activities on November 10, 1992. However, the history of the university dates back to 1974 when Afyonkarahisar Finance Accounting School was opened under Eskişehir Academy of Economics and Commercial Sciences. Afyonkarahisar Finance Accounting School was transformed into Afyonkarahisar Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 1987 which was affiliated to Anadolu University. This faculty was bound to Afyon Kocatepe University during its foundation. Vocational School of Dentistry, Pharmacy and Medical Faculties, Atatürk Healthcare Services School, Bolvadin Vocational School of Health Services and Şuhut Vocational School of Health Services and Afyon School of Health which were affiliated to Afyon Kocatepe University, have been converted to Faculty of Health Sciences and transferred to Afyonkarahisar University of Health Sciences on 18.05.2011. As of today, Afyon Kocatepe University continues education with 12 faculties, 5 institutes, 5 colleges, 1 State Conservatory and 14 vocational schools.
In our University, there are 14 Faculties and, 18 Vocational School.
