Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The appointed Accountant will perform a range of fundamental accounting and financial tasks to ensure the accuracy of financial records and the smooth operation of processes. The core responsibilities expected for this role include:

• Preparing and posting daily journal entries into the accounting system, ensuring all entries are supported by relevant documentation.
• Assisting in the preparation of periodic financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual) in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Managing accounts payable and receivable processes, including supplier invoices and customer follow-ups for collections.
• Performing regular bank reconciliations and ensuring account balances are accurate.
• Contributing to the preparation of budgets and analytical financial reports for management.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end financial closing procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and the company's internal accounting policies.
• Collaborating with other departments to provide financial support and necessary information.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA, ACCA) or being in an advanced stage of obtaining one is highly preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in an accounting role. Experience within the technology or services sector is advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables). Hands-on experience with a major accounting software system (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) is a significant plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Ability to manage time and work under pressure to meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
