A leading project is seeking to hire an Operation and Maintenance Engineer for Oil and Gas Production Facilities to join the integrated services for the CR3 MIDDLE EAST project. Job Description and Responsibilities
The successfully appointed engineer will be part of a specialized team responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the project's oil and gas production facilities. Key responsibilities will include:
- Operations Oversight: Monitoring and operating oil and gas production units and equipment in accordance with the highest safety and operational efficiency standards.
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Contributing to the development and execution of routine and preventive maintenance plans for static and rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, furnaces, distillation columns).
- Performance Optimization: Analyzing operational and performance data to identify improvement opportunities, enhance productivity, and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensuring full compliance with all site-specific and regulatory Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures, as well as local and international standards.
- Incident & Emergency Management: Participating in the response to minor operational incidents and proposing corrective actions, assisting in the implementation of emergency procedures.
- Documentation & Reporting: Preparing accurate technical reports on equipment status, maintenance schedules, and any operational incidents or deviations.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with engineering, maintenance, operations, and contractor teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Requirements and Qualifications
To qualify for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of oil and gas production facilities, refineries, or petrochemical plants. Experience on Middle East projects is a significant advantage.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of oil and gas production processes, safety systems (e.g., HAZOP, risk analysis), and engineering maintenance standards.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and reporting abilities (both verbal and written).
- Certifications: Recognized professional certifications in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) or maintenance management are preferred.
- Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic will be an added advantage.
