Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Director of Finance holds a central role in ensuring the efficiency and integrity of the hotel's financial and control operations. - Academic Credentials: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CMA, CPA, or ACCA are a significant advantage.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with proven experience in the luxury hotel or hospitality sector. Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant finance manager role is required.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting software packages (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) and Property Management Systems (PMS) is preferred.
- Personal & Leadership Skills:
- Strong analytical and investigative abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, and work effectively under pressure to meet challenges.
- High integrity and strong work ethics with the ability to handle confidential information.
- In-depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local practices.
