Job Description

The appointed Accountant will be responsible for performing a range of crucial accounting and financial tasks to ensure the accuracy of financial records and the smooth operation of financial processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and managing day-to-day accounting entries, including sales invoices, credit notes, and purchase records.
  • Recording, classifying, and analyzing financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Assisting in the preparation of periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Reconciling bank statements with ledger entries.
  • Monitoring accounts receivable and payable, and following up on client receivables.
  • Contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and the company's internal financial procedures.
  • Collaborating with other departments to provide necessary financial and accounting support for projects.
  • Efficiently using accounting software and financial systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar).

Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in accounting, with preference given to experience in the industrial or commercial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles (IFRS) and accounting practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with automated accounting and posting systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English (reading and writing) in addition to Arabic.
