Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The HVAC Sales Engineer will be responsible for leading and growing the sales activity for HVAC products and solutions in the Kuwaiti market, with a focus on the Ahmadi region and surrounding areas. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve defined targets and market share for HVAC products.
- Prospecting for new business opportunities and building a diverse client portfolio, including construction contractors, real estate developers, engineering consultants, and large project owners.
- Preparing detailed and compelling technical and commercial proposals tailored to specific client needs.
- Providing technical advisory support to existing and potential clients, including performing heat load calculations and optimal equipment selection.
- Conducting presentations and technical discussions with client teams to explain the benefits of proposed products and solutions.
- Managing projects from the initial tender stage through to closure and execution, coordinating with internal teams (technical, logistics, after-sales).
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activities, providing regular reports on sales performance and market intelligence.
- Maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients and ensuring their complete satisfaction with the services provided.
Qualifications & Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field. Additional qualifications in sales or marketing management are a plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in engineering systems sales, with a strong preference for candidates with specific experience in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) sales.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HVAC principles, various equipment (e.g., chillers, AHUs, VRV/VRF systems, fans), and relevant local and international standards.
- Sales Skills: Proven track record of achieving sales targets, managing the full sales cycle, and closing deals.
- Personal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written), strong negotiation and persuasion abilities, and the capacity to build relationships and work effectively within a team.
- Other Skills: Proficiency in basic computer software (MS Office) and relevant engineering design/analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, heat load calculation programs) is a significant advantage.
- Language: Fluency in Arabic (the primary working language) and a good command of English (reading, writing, and speaking) are required.
- Driver's License: The applicant must possess a valid and current Kuwaiti driver's license.
Work Location & Environment
