Reliant Global Trading LLC is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Instrument Technician / Fire & Gas Technician to join their operations in Al Wusta, Oman. This role presents a significant career opportunity for technical and engineering specialists within a dynamic work environment that prioritizes high safety standards.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The selected technician will occupy a vital role ensuring the safe and efficient operation of critical equipment and systems. Core responsibilities include:

  • Instrument Maintenance & Calibration: Performing routine and emergency maintenance on instrumentation and control devices such as pressure, temperature, level, and flow meters within the company's industrial and commercial facilities.
  • Inspection & Maintenance of Fire & Gas Systems: Focusing on Fire Detection, Suppression, and Warning Systems (F&G). This involves inspecting and maintaining smoke/flame detectors, alarm systems, fixed and portable firefighting equipment, and flammable gas control systems.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnosing technical faults in instrumentation, control, and safety systems promptly and accurately, and executing necessary repairs to ensure operational continuity.
  • Safety Compliance: Applying and adhering to all relevant local and international Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures while performing tasks. Participation in regular safety drills is expected.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Accurately recording calibration data, maintenance reports, and any faults addressed in designated logs, contributing to equipment performance history.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinating and working closely with other engineering and maintenance teams to ensure system integration and achieve operational goals.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be eligible for this critical technical role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: A diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and calibration of precision instruments (Instrumentation) and/or Fire & Gas systems. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the industrial, oil & gas, or commercial sectors.
  • Technical Skills:
    • In-depth practical knowledge of various control and instrumentation devices (PLCs, valves, transmitters, sensors).
    • Solid understanding of Fire & Gas (F&G) safety principles and systems.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering and electrical drawings (P&IDs, Loop Diagrams).
    • Proficiency in using specialized calibration and measurement tools.
  • Personal Skills: Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and a strict commitment to safety procedures.
  • Other Requirements: Proficiency in English (reading and writing) for handling technical documentation. Candidates must be medically fit to work in industrial environments.

Work Location

The primary place of work will be at Reliant Global Trading LLC facilities in Al Wusta, Oman. The role may occasionally require travel between different company sites.
