Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The appointed Physiotherapist will work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary hospital environment, responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered therapeutic care. The core responsibilities of this role include:
- Assessing patients with movement disorders, chronic pain, post-operative conditions, or other physical disabilities.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, utilizing a wide range of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
- Conducting physiotherapy sessions involving manual therapy, strengthening and rehabilitation exercises, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, and other advanced treatment methods.
- Regularly monitoring and evaluating patient progress, adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
- Collaborating closely with orthopedists, neurologists, rehabilitation doctors, nurses, and other healthcare specialists to ensure integrated care.
- Educating patients and their families about their condition, treatment plans, and appropriate home exercise programs for long-term recovery.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for all assessments and treatments provided.
- Adhering to the highest standards of safety, professional ethics, and approved clinical guidelines.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
To be eligible for this opportunity at DM Healthcare, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) or equivalent. A Master's degree in a specialized field (e.g., Musculoskeletal, Sports Therapy) will be a distinct advantage.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid license to practice as a Physiotherapist from the relevant health authority in Oman, or be eligible to obtain one. Candidates with prior GCC licensing or experience are preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of practical experience as a Physiotherapist in a hospital or specialized clinic setting. Experience in areas such as orthopedic rehabilitation, neurology, or back/neck pain management will be highly regarded.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues, along with empathy and patience. The ideal candidate should be able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using modern physiotherapy equipment and modalities.
- Language: Fluency in English for both written and verbal communication. Knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage for interacting with local patients.
