Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The Procurement Manager will hold a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain and procurement operations for an ENNISMORE hotel or cluster in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies that align with the group's global standards while adapting to local market specifics. Core responsibilities include:
- Strategic Oversight: Leading and developing the local procurement strategy, ensuring cost savings are achieved while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Vendor Management: Sourcing, evaluating, and selecting local and international suppliers and distributors. Building and managing long-term, strategic relationships with them.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensuring all purchasing activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and local Saudi regulations. Conducting continuous monitoring of the quality of goods and services procured.
- Contract Management: Negotiating contract terms and pricing with suppliers. Preparing and managing purchase orders and framework agreements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with various department heads (F&B, Rooms, Engineering, Operations) to understand and effectively fulfill their needs in a timely manner.
- Analysis & Reporting: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for the procurement function. Preparing regular reports on spending, achieved savings, and vendor performance for senior management.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Work Experience: Proven experience of at least 5 to 7 years in a procurement management role, with a strong preference for experience within the hospitality or luxury hotel sector.
- Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the procurement and supply chain landscape in Saudi Arabia, with an established local network of suppliers.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and mentor a team, coupled with excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Arabic.
- Analytical Skills: High proficiency in using procurement software and suites (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle), and advanced data analysis and Excel skills.
- Academic Credentials: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS) are a strong advantage.
- Personal Attributes: A proactive individual, capable of working under pressure, with strategic vision and a keen eye for detail.
