Job Overview

The Quality Lead will be responsible for leading, implementing, and managing all quality assurance and control activities for airfield-related civil works projects. The role focuses on ensuring all construction and civil works comply with international standards, client specifications, stringent safety requirements, and engineering best practices. The incumbent will operate in a dynamic environment where precision and compliance are the cornerstones of project success.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead and develop the field quality team for airfield projects.
• Establish and implement project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans, ensuring they are understood and applied by all contractors and suppliers.
• Conduct regular inspections and reviews of all phases of airfield civil construction (e.g., runways, taxiways, aircraft aprons, drainage systems, internal roadworks).
• Review and approve method statements, installation procedures, and inspection test plans submitted by contractors.
• Investigate non-conformances, issue reports, and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Systematically manage quality records, including inspection reports, material certificates, and test records.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers, subcontractors, and project-level quality managers to foster a quality culture.
• Prepare and present periodic quality performance reports to company management and the client.
• Ensure full compliance with all local Saudi regulations and relevant international standards (e.g., ICAO standards, ASTM standards).
• Organize and support internal and external audits of quality management systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in QA/QC for major civil construction projects, with a strong focus on airport or aviation infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in leading and managing quality teams.
• In-depth knowledge of international and local construction standards and specifications for airfield works.
• Strong familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills for resolving complex quality issues.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
• A recognized professional certification in quality (e.g., CQA, CMQ/OE) will be highly regarded.
