Job Description

The Safety Engineer will hold a pivotal role within the company's structure, acting as the primary authority for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management systems. Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develop & Implement Safety Policies: Create and update the company's comprehensive safety policies and procedures, ensuring they are understood and adhered to by all employees and workers.
• Conduct Risk Assessments: Perform regular safety risk assessments across all company sites and facilities, identify potential hazards, and develop effective control and prevention plans.
• Inspection & Monitoring: Conduct scheduled and surprise inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, and verify the condition of safety equipment and protective gear.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Safety & Occupational Health Engineering) from an accredited university.
• Professional safety certifications (such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent) will be a significant advantage.

Work Experience:

• Proven practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years in a Safety Engineer role or similar, preferably in industrial services, construction, oil & gas, or related sectors.
• Previous work experience in Kuwait or the GCC region, with an understanding of its regulatory environment, is a strong plus.

Personal & Professional Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (e.g., OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001).
• Strong understanding of Kuwaiti safety legislation and regulations.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, in both Arabic and English.
