Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Senior Electrical Project Engineer will be primarily responsible for the hands-on, field-based aspect of projects. This role focuses not just on desk-based design but on translating blueprints into reality. Core responsibilities include:

• Full Field Supervision: Directly leading the installation and execution team on the data center project site, ensuring all electrical works are carried out per approved technical specifications and designs.
• Quality & Safety Management: Implementing and enforcing stringent quality control procedures at every installation stage. Ensuring full compliance with all local and international safety regulations (e.g., NFPA, IEEE standards, UAE local codes) to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Acting as the primary on-site liaison between project management and subcontractors/suppliers. Overseeing the delivery and pre-installation inspection of materials and equipment.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving any obstacles or technical issues arising during the execution and installation phases, providing practical and immediate solutions to ensure work continuity without delays.
• Testing & Commissioning: Leading and executing comprehensive testing plans for electrical systems post-installation. This includes main distribution systems (MV/LV), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, backup generation (diesel generators), and protection/control systems. Preparing necessary technical reports and ensuring system readiness for final handover.
• Review & Documentation: Reviewing detailed Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings and Method of Procedure (MOP) documents. Maintaining up-to-date daily site logs, progress reports, and change records.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Professional Certifications: Possession of recognized professional certifications such as PMP, safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH), or certifications from major equipment vendors is preferred.
