Technician (Electrical or Mechanical) for Water Factory - Kuwait

KUWAIT JOBS HERE is currently seeking a qualified Technician (specializing in either Electrical or Mechanical fields) to join the operations and maintenance crew of a water production and bottling plant in the State of Kuwait. Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The appointed Technician will be responsible for a range of operational tasks, routine maintenance, and emergency repairs to ensure uninterrupted plant workflow. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical or mechanical equipment within production and packaging lines.
• Diagnosing and repairing breakdowns promptly and effectively to minimize downtime.
• Monitoring the performance of equipment and machinery (such as pumps, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, sterilization units, filling machines, electrical control panels) and reporting any irregularities.
• Reading and understanding electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
• Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new or modified equipment.
• Strictly adhering to all applicable occupational health and safety procedures within the plant to ensure a safe working environment for all.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the work area and equipment in accordance with the stringent hygiene standards required in the food and water industry.
• Recording daily technical reports on equipment status and maintenance work performed.
• Working collaboratively with machine operators, engineers, and supervisors to improve operational efficiency.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

To be a suitable candidate for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• A diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of practical experience in a similar technician role, preferably within the water, beverage, food, or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong practical knowledge of electrical control systems, motors, pumps, and mechanical conveyor systems.
• Ability to work in shift patterns (morning/evening) and on weekends as required.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physical fitness to perform tasks involving prolonged standing, bending, and lifting reasonable loads.
• Good knowledge of safety procedures in industrial settings.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
