Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful supervisor will be tasked with leading and managing the daily operations of the company's warehouse. They will be directly responsible for ensuring the warehouse operates with high efficiency while adhering strictly to safety and quality protocols. The core responsibilities of this role include:

• Operational Oversight: Managing all daily activities within the warehouse, including goods receipt, storage, order picking, packing for shipment, and distribution of food items and other consumables.
• Inventory Management: Maintaining an accurate and reliable inventory system. This involves conducting regular stock counts, ensuring record accuracy, implementing FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles especially for perishable goods, and minimizing waste and shrinkage.
• Team Leadership: Directly supervising warehouse laborers and related staff. Tasks include delegating duties, training the team on correct procedures and safety standards, and ensuring a productive and safe working environment for all.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensuring all warehouse operations comply with stringent local and international health regulations for food safety, as well as occupational safety regulations. This aspect is critical within the catering sector.
• Cross-Department Coordination: Working closely with the procurement, logistics, operations, and sales departments to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Maintenance & Hygiene: Ensuring warehouse facilities and equipment (such as forklifts, storage racks) are properly maintained, and that the warehouse upholds the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

• Practical Experience: Proven experience of at least 3 to 5 years in a warehouse supervisor or assistant supervisor role, with a strong preference for experience in the catering, FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), or perishable goods sector.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of warehouse management principles, inventory control, and food safety. Practical knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or WMS (Warehouse Management System) software is a significant advantage.
• Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, with effective communication and delegation skills. The candidate must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Safety Commitment: Deep awareness and strict adherence to occupational safety practices and hygiene standards (such as HACCP) in a warehouse setting.
• Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Language Requirements: Good command of spoken and written English. Knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
• Educational Qualification: A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
