Job Description and Responsibilities

The successful welder will be placed at a client site of PH Hospitality within Qatar. The core duties will focus on the maintenance, fabrication, and repair of metal kitchen equipment. Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Performing various welding operations (MIG, TIG, and Arc welding) on a wide range of metals used in kitchen equipment manufacturing, such as stainless steel and aluminum.
• Reading and interpreting technical schematics and engineering drawings for kitchen apparatus.
• Fabricating and installing components for kitchen equipment as per specifications, including cooking ranges, storage racks, sinks, and ventilation systems.
• Repairing faults, cracks, and damage in existing equipment, ensuring the kitchen's continuous operation at peak efficiency.
• Inspecting weld quality to ensure durability, safety, and defect-free work, adhering to high standards of quality, health, and safety.
• Working closely with maintenance teams and other technicians to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
• Strictly adhering to occupational safety protocols on the worksite, especially when handling sharp tools, hot materials, and welding gear.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• Proven practical experience of at least 3 years in welding, with a strong preference for experience in commercial kitchen equipment or the industrial sector.
• Practical proficiency in core welding types, with exceptional skill in stainless steel welding.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as function effectively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in task execution.
• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety procedures related to welding.
• Physical fitness to stand for long periods and handle equipment and tools.
• A valid Qatar residency permit (for current residents) is highly preferred.
