Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed Accountant will be entrusted with a range of core accounting and financial responsibilities, which are expected to include, but not be limited to:

• Preparing and managing day-to-day accounting entries (General Ledger).
• Recording and posting financial transactions into the accounting system.
• Preparing periodic budget and cost reports.
• Assisting in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Performing regular bank reconciliations.
• Assisting in the preparation of preliminary financial statements.
• Ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies and local standards (e.g., International Financial Reporting Standards - IFRS).
• Collaborating with other departments to provide necessary financial support and information.

Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Professional Certification: Professional certifications such as CMA, ACCA, or CPA are a strong advantage.
• Experience: Proven work experience in an accounting role. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the contracting, construction, or related industrial sectors.
• Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with popular accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar).
