Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed Accountant will perform a range of core accounting and financial tasks to support the company's operations. The expected responsibilities for this role include:

• Preparing and managing daily accounts and the general ledger.
• Recording financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with standard accounting principles.
• Assisting in the preparation of periodic financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement).
• Managing supplier invoices and payment processes, and following up on client receivables.
• Contributing to month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and the company's internal financial procedures.
• Assisting with internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation.
• Collaborating with other company departments to provide financial support and necessary information.
• Utilizing accounting software and financial systems (e.g., ERP) efficiently.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven work experience in an accounting role. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the building industries, manufacturing, or trading sectors, but outstanding candidates from other sectors are also welcome.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and accounting principles.
• Soft Skills:
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Integrity and strict confidentiality in handling financial data.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a strong added advantage.
• Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
